The Opportunity This role offers the opportunity to design and coordinate wet fire protection systems across a diverse project portfolio, ranging from smaller installations through to major projects valued at approximately $2 million to $5 million. Working within a structured fire contracting environment, you will produce compliant, buildable and efficient design solutions that support successful installation outcomes. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers and site teams to ensure systems are designed to meet regulatory requirements, client expectations and programme timeframes. Relocation support may be considered for suitable candidates. Key Responsibilities Design wet fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel and water supply systems. Produce Revit and CAD drawings, schematics and hydraulic calculations. Ensure designs comply with AS 2118, AS 2419, NCC and relevant fire protection standards. Review specifications, tender documentation and site constraints to develop practical design solutions. Coordinate design deliverables in line with installation sequencing and project timeframes. Respond to technical queries and provide design support to project delivery teams. Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes, standards and technical capability. About You You bring proven wet fire design experience gained within a fire contracting environment , along with strong technical capability and attention to detail. Experience working in a Wet Fire Designer role for a fire protection contractor is essential. Demonstrated experience designing wet fire systems across varied project environments. Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and fire system compliance requirements. Proficiency in Revit is essential, with CAD and other design software experience advantageous. Experience completing hydraulic calculations for wet fire protection systems. Ability to manage multiple design priorities and meet project deadlines. Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to technical delivery. FPAS accreditation or relevant fire protection qualifications advantageous.
