Role Overview: Illuminate Pros is seeking a Research and Development Manager to lead innovation and product development initiatives. The successful candidate will manage R&D projects, improve existing solutions, and explore new lighting technologies that meet market needs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement R&D strategies, policies, and project plans. Lead research initiatives to enhance existing lighting technologies and explore new solutions. Set priorities, targets, and timelines for research projects. Evaluate outcomes of R&D activities and recommend improvements. Translate research findings into actionable product or process innovations. Advise on new product development opportunities and emerging lighting technologies. Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and sales teams to implement R&D outcomes. Requirements: Proven experience or academic background in lighting technology, electrical engineering, applied sciences, or related field. Strong leadership and project management skills. Ability to apply technical research to practical business outcomes. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (Master’s or PhD) in engineering, applied sciences, or R&D management are highly desirable. Relevant experience in research and development, preferably in lighting, electrical systems, or industrial technology. Demonstrated experience in managing R&D projects and leading technical teams. Strong understanding of product development processes, innovation management, and industry standards. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
