Opportunity to establish Sydney office from the ground up About Our Client Our client is seeking an Office Manager to oversee day‑to‑day administrative operations and take full ownership of establishing and running the Sydney office. Job Description Office Setup & Coordination: Lead the end‑to‑end establishment of the Sydney office, including workspace setup, IT and equipment preparation, procurement of office supplies, and coordination with external vendors. Daily Administration: Manage day‑to‑day administrative functions such as scheduling, correspondence, document control, office procurement, and general workflow support. Operational Process Development: Design, document, and implement operational processes, standards, and systems to enhance efficiency across the business. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Financial & Compliance Support: Support office-related financial administration, including expense tracking, maintaining records, and assisting with basic reporting. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with landlords, service providers, and vendors to ensure smooth and effective office operations. General Support: Undertake ad‑hoc tasks and projects as required to support team needs and broader business growth. The Successful Applicant Bachelor's degree in business management or a related discipline preferred. At least 8 years' experience in office management, and/or operations. Demonstrated experience in administration, office management, or operations, ideally within startups, financial services, or professional services, with hands‑on experience building functions from 0 to 1. Highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese. Tech‑savvy, with solid proficiency in productivity tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and common project management platforms. Comfortable designing and building office processes, systems, and workflows from scratch. Exposure to operations within financial services, fintech, or professional services environments. Understanding of workflow design, process optimisation, or office automation practices.
