The Opportunity Reporting to the Head of Investment Operations and Valuation Governance, the Senior Manager, Valuation Governance leads the design, operation and ongoing uplift of UniSuper’s Valuation Governance Framework. This is a senior leadership role providing independent second‑line oversight and challenge of investment valuations across a large, diversified portfolio, including complex private market assets. You will play a critical role in safeguarding member equity, supporting accurate unit pricing and financial reporting, and ensuring valuation practices meet APRA prudential expectations and accounting standards. The role operates at scale, engaging with external valuers, investment managers and service providers, and has regular exposure to senior executives, Board Committees and regulators. You will also lead and develop a small, high‑performing team while driving continuous improvement, automation and uplift of valuation controls and reporting. About You You are an experienced valuation and governance professional who is comfortable operating in complex, highly regulated environments. You bring strong judgement, a risk and control mindset, and the confidence to provide constructive challenge at senior levels. You will ideally bring: 10 years’ experience in investment valuation within superannuation, asset management, custody or fund administration Strong experience in APRA‑regulated environments and knowledge of relevant prudential standards Experience across multi‑asset portfolios, including unlisted and private market valuations Solid understanding of unit pricing, custody operations and investment data management Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline (CA, CPA or CFA desirable) Experience engaging with Boards and Committees Strong stakeholder management, communication and influencing capability Proven ability to manage transformation initiatives alongside business‑as‑usual delivery What We Offer We take a long‑term outlook and invest in our people through development, flexibility and benefits that support your whole career.
