Our Purpose: Grow Townsville Our Values: Safety, Excellence, Respect, Value, Enjoyment About The Role Townsville City Council are seeking an experienced Patrol Officer, this role will provide frontline service to the Townsville Community on behalf of the organization through the provision of timely and accurate information, processing of lost animals and, reuniting owners and pets, investigate and resolve customer enquiries relating to animal management in line with council policy and procedure as well as industry standards and state and local laws. About You Our ideal candidate will have: Cert III in Companion Animal Services or similar. Experience in Technology One, software applications or other similar local government business management systems and intermediate skills in Microsoft applications. Demonstrated ability to verbally and visually identify and describe animals, for instance the colour/s, sizes, and breeds of different species. Detailed knowledge of interpreting and applying local and state legislation. Ability to make sustainable, objective assessments relating to the impounding of animals. Authorised Persons Card (TCC) or the ability to obtain. First Aid Training or the ability to obtain. Current Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence.
