Project Engagement Officer A large Queensland Government delivery program is seeking an experienced Project Engagement Officer to provide additional capacity within a busy customer and stakeholder engagement team. This role will support a portfolio of high-profile infrastructure projects with significant community, local government and road user interfaces. Due to increased delivery activity across multiple major projects, this position will play a key role in ensuring stakeholders are informed, engaged and supported through timely, accurate and consistent communications. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys working in fast-paced environments, managing competing priorities and supporting delivery teams through effective engagement practices. Key Responsibilities Support the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement and communication activities across multiple infrastructure projects. Ensure consistent, high-quality messaging is prepared and distributed to stakeholders including local communities, road users, councils and businesses. Coordinate engagement materials, correspondence, briefings and updates to support project delivery milestones. Assist with managing stakeholder enquiries and feedback, ensuring responses are accurate, timely and aligned with approved messaging. Maintain engagement records, contact lists and documentation to support reporting and governance requirements. Work closely with project teams to understand delivery impacts and translate technical information into clear, audience-appropriate communications. Provide surge capacity to reduce pressure on existing team members and support continuity of engagement across the program. About You You are an organised and proactive engagement or communications professional with experience supporting infrastructure or service delivery projects. You bring strong written communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. You’re comfortable engaging with diverse stakeholder groups and supporting teams operating under delivery pressure. Requirements of the Role Essential Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, communications or community liaison roles. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outputs to tight timeframes. Experience working collaboratively with project teams and external stakeholders. Highly Desirable Experience supporting transport or infrastructure projects. Familiarity with government engagement frameworks or approvals processes.
