Salary Range: LGO3 ($71,806 - $77,515 per annum superannuation) based on skills, qualifications and experience Location: Townsville Application Close: 11:45pm, Wednesday 25 th March 2026 About The Role: The Learning and Information Services Officer is responsible for the delivery of Learning and Information Services in accordance with the Library Services Strategic Plan and works as part of the Learning and Information Services Team, as suppliers to the Operations Support and Planning and Business Development Teams of the library. This is a part time role for 15 hours per week, Monday and Wednesday 9am-5pm. About You: The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma or Associate Diploma in Library and Information Studies (or equivalent qualifications or experience), along with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, a current “C” class driver’s licence, and a valid Working with Children Blue Card. They will demonstrate strong negotiation and problem‑solving abilities, high-level digital fluency, and a passion for mentoring and training others. With an enthusiasm for learning new systems, processes, and practices, they will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences. The role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor information to diverse audiences, as well as proven experience working collaboratively within a team environment while applying a learning-focused approach to service delivery. Strong time-management skills, the ability to build effective business partnerships, and a commitment to high‑quality outcomes are essential.
