As Manager – Privacy, you will play a critical role in shaping and operationalising ART’s privacy and data protection framework, ensuring our use of data and AI meets regulatory obligations, ethical standards and community expectations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, AI Governance and Privacy, you will: Lead and develop a highperforming privacy team, providing expert advice, guidance and continuous uplift across the organisation Drive a strong culture of trust, data protection and privacybydesign across ART Lead assessments and responses to privacy incidents and notifiable data breaches, including regulator engagement and reporting Develop, implement and embed ART’s Data Protection Framework aligned to Australian privacy, security and financial services regulations Act as a key liaison with regulators, including the OAIC, and support responses to regulatory enquiries and audits Provide oversight of privacy complaints, access and correction requests, ensuring compliant and timely outcomes Partner with legal, risk, technology and delivery teams to embed privacy considerations into new technologies and initiatives Provide strategic advice and reporting to senior leadership, risk committees and the Board on privacy, data protection and emerging AI risks This role is a permanent opportunity. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Extensive experience in privacy and data protection roles within complex or regulated environments Strong working knowledge of the Privacy Act 1988, Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, APRA Prudential Standards and related legislation Proven experience leading privacy risk management, including privacybydesign, controls, frameworks and remediation activity Demonstrated capability engaging with regulators and leading responses to regulatory enquiries and incidents Experience translating complex legal, technical and regulatory requirements into clear, practical advice for business leaders Strong people leadership skills, with experience building and leading specialist teams or centres of expertise The ability to influence and collaborate effectively across legal, risk, technology and business stakeholders A calm, resilient and valuesled approach aligned with ART’s culture of courage, empathy and excellence About us Our 2.4 million members trust us to take care of over $330 billion in retirement savings.
