Support children’s safety and wellbeing through traumainformed, familycentred interventions that strengthen capacity and connection. The Role As a Case Manager within Centacare’s RESTORE Intensive Family Service, you will play a key role in strengthening children’s safety, wellbeing, and connection by working alongside families experiencing multiple and complex challenges. Guided by traumainformed, strengthsbased and familycentred practice, you will provide therapeutic case management and practical inhome support to help families create safe, stable and nurturing environments. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will build meaningful relationships with parents, carers and children, completing assessments, developing collaborative case plans, and delivering therapeutic and practical interventions tailored to each family’s needs. You will work closely with Department for Child Protection (DCP), Department of Human Services (DHS), and other professionals to support child safety, strengthen parenting capacity, and enhance family functioning. Key responsibilities Assessment of parental strengths and areas of need (including child protection risk and protective factors) and lead the development of a case plan Utilise and support the use of the evidence-based assessment tools - North Carolina Family Assessment Scale (NCFAS), and other tools. Provide inclusive, culturally responsive support to improve families’ relationships and connections to culture and community Implement practical and therapeutic interventions to support parents to create and maintain a physically, socially and emotionally safe home environment for their children Support the ongoing delivery of the Centacare’s Therapeutic Framework, Stabilising Trauma in Everyday Practice (STEP) Support the RESTORE IFS evaluation plan and recommendations This is a fixed-term opportunity until 30 June 2031 based in Salisbury.
