If you enjoy physical work, teamwork, and being outside instead of stuck behind a desk, this could be the perfect role for you!☀️ The Good Stuff: ⏰ Guaranteed Full-Time Hours Monday-Friday | 6am - 4pm Every 2nd Friday OFF (RDO!)- hello long weekends! $36.13 per hour Super Work outdoors with a great council team What to bring: Safety Boots Hi-Vis Vest Long Sleeve Shirt Long Pants Brim Sun Hat What You'll Be Doing You'll be supporting qualified Arborists to keep our parks, streets, and green spaces safe and healthy. Daily tasks may include: Maintaining chainsaws Manually hauling branches Feeding the woodchipper Raking, sweeping & general site clean-up Assisting with maintenance of trucks & machinery Operating small plant, power tools & maintenance equipment Using technology for communication, data collection & work orders Assisting with tree pruning, removal & other arboriculture tasks Helping with banner & decoration installations Completing scheduled works & supporting project completion Representing Council professionally with customers & stakeholders ➕ Other duties as directed by the Supervisor, Team Leader or Leading Hand within the scope of the role ✅ Essential Requirements ✔ White Card Class C Open Driver Licence Experience in outdoor manual work (construction, landscaping, gardening, arboriculture etc.) Experience operating & maintaining machinery and power tools ⭐ Desirable Tickets (Bonus Points!) Elevating Work Platform (EWP) High Risk Work Licence Working at Heights Ticket ACDC Licence (Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control) Chainsaw Level 1, 2 & Pole Saw Ticket Ground-Based Rigging (Arboriculture) training Bonus Experience (Nice to Have) Tree trimming, planting or removal Operating a mobile chipper/mulcher Using stump grinding machines Operating specialised arboriculture machinery Ready to Get Started?
