My client is a global engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture, and servicing of casthouse equipment for aluminium and magnesium producers. With over 35 years of industry experience, they are known for quality fabrication, innovative design, and reliable engineering solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator / Welder to join their team. This role offers a temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in producing high-quality fabrication work within a heavy engineering environment. What You Bring Minimum 3 years' experience in metal fabrication and welding within heavy engineering environments. Strong background in custom metal fabrication, measurement, assembly, and structural work. Ability to read and interpret isometric and technical drawings accurately. Proven skills in MIG and TIG welding across various metal types. Experience conducting quality control inspections to ensure precision and compliance with standards. Demonstrated ability to fabricate high-quality custom metal projects with strong attention to detail. Forklift licence is advantageous. Strong work ethic, reliability, and consistent attendance record. Problem-solving mindset with the initiative to improve processes and outcomes. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Commitment to high workmanship standards, safety, and pride in craftsmanship. A safety-first mindset with adherence to safe work procedures and PPE requirements. What You'll Be Doing Fabrication: Assemble and fabricate metal components according to technical and engineering drawings. Welding: Perform high-quality MIG and TIG welding in line with engineering and production standards. Assembly: Construct and finish fabricated products ready for installation or dispatch. Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, safety, and quality standards are met. Production: Meet production schedules while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety. Safety: Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain safe working practices. Team Collaboration: Work closely with fabricators, engineers, and other departments to coordinate work, support production requirements, and achieve project outcomes.
