Senior Underwriter – Management Liability & D&O The Opportunity A global specialty insurer with strong international backing and deep UK connectivity is investing heavily in its Australian platform, with a clear mandate to scale sustainably across Management Liability and D&O. This is a strategic growth appointment within a high-performing national team. The business is deliberate in its hiring approach - focused on long-term capability, not short-term volume. The portfolio is split across 50% Management Liability and 50% D&O, including excess of loss large corporate placements and complex risk. Management Liability is a significant growth priority, with no revenue ceiling and appetite spanning SME through to $bn turnover organisations. A primary D&O solution is also in development, reinforcing the broader expansion strategy. The Role Join a global specialty insurer scaling its national footprint with autonomy, mandate and long-term growth.You will hold meaningful broker affinity while developing and expanding market presence across WA and SA, with scope to assume responsibility for the southern region, including Tasmania. The expectation is to build, deepen and close - not simply maintain. You will formulate your own underwriting position, articulate it confidently and own the outcome. Cross-class collaboration is encouraged, and the broader structure is designed to support national and international connectivity. The mandate is disciplined growth. The opportunity is to help shape it. The Individual We are open to insurer or agency backgrounds and flexible on seniority. This could suit an established Senior Underwriter or an ambitious Underwriter ready to step into broader accountability. Technical underwriting can be developed. Mindset and ownership are critical. The successful individual will demonstrate: • Confidence in underwriting judgement and broker engagement • Full accountability for decisions, results and mistakes • A proactive, solution-oriented approach with commercial discipline This is not a role for someone who defers responsibility or waits for direction.
