About the Role Reporting to the IT Commercial & Assurance Manager, the ICT Contract Specialist is responsible for leading the ongoing management of technology vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with BDO Australia’s policies, procedures, and commercial expectations. This role sets the benchmark for how BDO Australia engages with technology vendors, driving continuous improvement, optimisation, and alignment of vendor services with business needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead ongoing management of ICT vendor contract performance and commercial governance to ensure BDO’s risk posture, compliance obligations, certifications, and cybersecurity requirements are current and effective. Establish best-practice contract structures and vendor tiering, benchmark how BDO Australia works with technology vendors, and ensure ongoing contract performance aligns with SLAs, KPIs, and BDO commercial expectations. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Qualifications & Experience Experience with IT contract and vendor performance management. 5 years in ICT contract/vendor management or commercial governance. Demonstrated experience establishing vendor tiering, SLAs/KPIs, and contract frameworks. Demonstrated experience managing enterprise software licensing across multiple vendors. Demonstrated experience writing detailed and complex Scopes of Work for technology implementations, professional services and managed services. Experience collaborating with internal business units, Procurement, Finance and Legal in a professional services context. Experience with distributor (resale) agreements an advantage but not essential. Skills & Competencies Specialist knowledge of ICT contracts (software, SaaS, DaaS, cloud, hardware, managed services providers, professional services) and commercial constructs (SLAs/KPIs, DPAs, security schedules, insurance requirements, deliverables, benchmarking). Strong negotiation, vendor performance management, and issue resolution across complex stakeholders. Risk identification and mitigation; familiarity with cybersecurity requirements in contracts. Excellent stakeholder engagement; able to coach teams on vendor/commercial best practice. Analytical mindset, detail-oriented documentation, and governance discipline. Why BDO?
