About the Role The Category Specialist supports the Category Manager in executing category strategies that align with the organisation's commercial objectives. Working across sales, marketing, procurement, and inventory teams, you will help manage product performance, analyse market insights, and support supplier relationships to drive improved outcomes across the business. This role is well-suited to someone who enjoys working with data, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to the commercial performance of product categories within a B2B environment. Key Responsibilities Support the Category Manager in delivering category strategies aligned with commercial objectives Contribute to sales and margin growth through effective category management practices Analyse data and insights to identify market trends, risks, and growth opportunities Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, procurement, and inventory teams to enhance customer experience and commercial performance Assist with the management of vendor relationships and support the negotiation of strong commercial arrangements Monitor category performance against key performance indicators Support continuous improvement and simplification of merchandising processes Assist with the development and growth of the own brand product ranges to improve margin outcomes Key Requirements Relevant qualifications or equivalent professional experience Experience working in category management, buying, merchandising, procurement, or a related commercial environment Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret data and identify opportunities Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SAP or similar systems Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills High attention to detail and strong organisational skills Experience working within a B2B environment is beneficial If this sounds like an interesting opportunity, then apply today.
