What will your role be? Reporting to the Head of Commercial Excellence, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding our Commercial Strategy across the Glass category. This is where customer, category and commercial strategy come together. You'll work cross-functionally with Business Units, Category Leadership, RGM, Marketing and Finance to: Lead the development of clear, insight-led commercial strategies Elevate customer and commercial thinking in business planning Translate data into actionable plans that win in-store Drive a true "triple win" for Diageo, our customers and shoppers This role will gives you exposure to commercial and channel strategy, as well as wider business strategy and end to end commercial planning - which will position you for broader commercial leadership roles into the future. What does this role look like for you? Commercial Strategy Deliver and implement a clear Commercial & Channel Strategy for the immediate 12 months and next 5 year horizon; Own annual end-to-end planning processes , create visibility and proactively lead quarterly governance against key building blocks of the plan Ensure right execution plans and set of metrics are in place to deliver against strategies & big bets; and Shape pricing and promotional strategy in collaboration with RGM. Category & Customer Leadership Embed a category-first mentality and customer focus in end to end commercial planning; Partner on customer range reviews and commercial proposals to ensure consistency in line with our business objectives; and Drive top-quality JBPs through facilitation, capability building, and mentorship on mutually beneficial strategies with customers, bringing to life: where to play / how to win / where to invest . Business Transformation Help establish and embed new ways of working within the Commercial Excellence function; Champion smarter processes that unlock agility, speed and better decision making; Be a visible advocate of the "triple win" across forums and leadership discussions; and Champion to drive commercial capability across the business with clarity and partnership. What will you bring to the table? You're likely currently operating as a National Account Manager or Customer Business Manager in FMCG and ready to step into a more strategic, internally-facing role. You'll bring: 5 years' experience in FMCG commercial roles Strong customer management and joint business planning capability Proven ability to turn insight into action that delivers growth Experience working with scan and panel data tools; High commercial acumen and analytical capability Storytelling and confidence influencing cross-functional partners Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed and evolving environment Most importantly, you're curious about the external market, hungry to challenge the status quo, and motivated by building sustainable competitive advantage.
