This is a Health and Safety Advisor role with DT Infrastructure based in Melbourne, VIC, AU DT Infrastructure Role Seniority - mid level More about the Health and Safety Advisor role at DT Infrastructure Job description: About the role DTI are delivering ongoing rail maintenance in Victoria and are now hiring a Health & Safety Advisor to support the team in providing first-class rail maintenance for our clients. Primary based from Springvale, this role requires travel to various projects across VIC and will support the Rail Health and Safety Manager and projects across the portfolio of works in the region. Key responsibilities include Support operations to execute DTI and client HSE initiatives. Effective implementation of DTI HSE policy, procedures & standards through training, coaching and regular communication. Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with solution development and implementation. Coach and support local managers to develop and review HSE management plans and risk registers, consistent with site/project needs. Coach operational teams with sub-contractor management requirements including review of SWMS, ATWPs, completion of DTI and site inductions, participation in pre-starts, conduct of daily plant check sheets and compliance with HSEMPs. Experience and capabilities Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field Proven experience in a similar role within the Tier 1 construction and rail maintenance industry. Ability to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound, practical judgement, experience and common sense. Ability to work under broad direction, exercise initiative and be innovative in the approach to problem solving. Lead ICAM Incident Investigation or similar required. Return to work coordinator certified. Rail Safety qualifications. Drivers’ license (C class) essential.
