Your New Role As an AI Intern, you’ll join our AI & Automation team within Technology, Digital & Data, supporting the delivery of practical and responsible AI solutions across the Fund. Reporting to the Senior Manager – AI, you’ll gain exposure across key AI pillars including AI governance, use ‑ case delivery, platforms and AI fluency, with a primary focus on supporting AI initiatives and use ‑ case delivery. This is an ideal opportunity for a student or early ‑ career technologist with a passion for AI, strong learning agility and a desire to apply emerging technologies in a complex, real ‑ world environment. In This Role, You’ll Support end ‑ to ‑ end AI use ‑ case delivery through research, analysis, documentation, testing and coordination Assist AI Engineers and business teams to validate ideas, build prototypes and iterate solutions Help uplift team ways of working by improving templates, documentation and operational processes Learn and apply responsible and ethical AI practices aligned to governance and risk standards Collaborate with technical and non ‑ technical stakeholders across the organisation Build hands ‑ on capability with modern AI tools, platforms and workflows What You’ll Need Currently completing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Information Systems or a related field Availability to work part ‑ time (approximately 50%) A strong interest in AI and its practical application to real business problems Curiosity, initiative and a willingness to learn in a fast ‑ moving environment Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas clearly Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities No prior professional experience required — relevant coursework, academic or personal projects are a plus Life at AustralianSuper AustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
