As a Data & Automation Analyst , you’ll play a key role in uplifting reporting, automation, and digital processes across the Finance & Tax team. This is a handson, executionfocused role where you’ll help turn data into insights, streamline workflows, and embed smarter, more efficient ways of working. You’ll work closely with Finance, Tax, Investments, and Technology teams to deliver practical automation solutions, improve data quality, and enhance reporting outputs that support daytoday finance operations. Day to day, you'll: Support the modernisation of Finance & Tax processes by designing and implementing scalable automation solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and risk management. Configure, test, and deploy automation using RPA, lowcode platforms, Power Automate, and ETL tools to reduce manual finance processes. Apply strong knowledge of finance and investment processes (e.g. general ledger, reconciliations, controls, data flows) to ensure solutions are accurate and wellintegrated. Develop and maintain financial and investment reporting models to support performance measurement, tax reporting, compliance, and risk analysis. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability across reporting platforms through effective governance, validation, and reconciliation. Collaborate with Data & AI and Technology teams to ensure data readiness for automation and advanced analytics. Maintain clear technical documentation for automation workflows, data processes, and reporting assets. This role is available as permanent/ full-time opportunity. Location: While our preference is for the successful candidate to be based in Brisbane, we are equally open to considering applicants located in Sydney and Melbourne. About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too: Experience in financial or investment reporting, finance operations, or financial data analysis, with exposure to technologyenabled transformation. Ability to translate finance requirements into automated, datadriven solutions. Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Investments, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Proficiency in Power BI, Power Query, SQL, and Excel, with familiarity in Power Automate, ETL tools. Experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, and documentation to support automation design. Experience supporting the automation lifecycle, from build and testing through to deployment and maintenance.
