Position Details Project: C2SSO-CA33 SPO: LBAM SPO Skill: Project Management Services & Support – Level 3 Location: Melbourne On-site (No remote work) Security Clearance: NV1 required Role Overview The CA33 Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering sustainment and transition activities within the CA33 IBMS team. The role supports alignment and transition to the enduring Battlefield Management System (BMS) capability under LAND 4140. The position requires collaboration with internal Defence stakeholders, contractors, vendors, and the LAND 4140 acquisition team. Key Responsibilities Undertake scoping studies to support alignment between CA33 and LAND 4140 BMS. Coordinate with LAND 4140 acquisition team and Systems Integrator to manage dependencies. Identify and integrate Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC). Develop and manage project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and deliverables. Manage project work take-on processes in line with CA33 requirements. Provide status reporting to internal and external stakeholders. Engage stakeholders across Defence, industry, and vendors. Identify and manage risks, issues, and opportunities with mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with policy, governance, safety, and security requirements. Support process improvements and contribute to best practices. Essential Experience 7–10 years Defence Project Management experience. Understanding of military and operational environments. Experience across capability lifecycle including planning, monitoring, and delivery. Strong problem-solving and issue management capability. Experience in capability sustainment and integration. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience working in engineering or technical environments. Desirable Experience Experience in Land C4 / BMS environments. Familiarity with PMBOK and Defence project frameworks. Experience with Agile methodologies. Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, or Predict!. Understanding of ODCS and FIC. Qualifications Tertiary qualification in Project Management, ICT, Engineering, or related field. Membership with the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) (desirable).
