Your opportunity Senior Mechanical Engineer – Products M2P Engineering Brisbane, QLD > Salisbury Full Time As a senior member of our Products team, you will own the end-to-end development of M2P’s engineered product range. With a strong focus on safety-critical and pressure-based systems, you will lead the design, development, and validation of products from concept through to production, ensuring they perform in real-world conditions. You will play a key role in shaping engineering standards, influencing product direction, and driving best-practice processes within an ISO 9001 environment. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with manufacturing and operations, ensuring designs are practical, scalable, and built to last. You’ll make an impact by: ● Owning product design and development from concept through to production release ● Leading engineering decisions across safety-critical product lines ● Driving validation strategies, including FEA, first-principles calculations, and physical testing ● Translating real-world operating conditions into robust, verifiable engineering solutions ● Working closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable ● Defining and improving engineering standards, processes, and technical documentation ● Providing technical leadership and mentorship to engineers within the team ● Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the company’s engineered products portfolio What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you will have: ● A degree in Mechanical Engineering ● 8–12 years’ experience in product design and development ● Strong capability in mechanical analysis, including FEA and first-principles calculations ● Proven experience leading product development projects end-to-end ● Hands-on experience designing and executing testing and validation programs ● Strong understanding of design verification and validation methodologies ● Ability to make sound engineering decisions within safety-critical environments ● Clear technical communication skills and a structured, methodical approach Ideally, you will also have: ● Experience with flexible, polymer, composite, or pressure-based systems ● Exposure to ISO 9001 design control, change management, and technical documentation ● Experience developing test protocols where standards are limited or non-existent ● Background in mining, energy, infrastructure, or industrial product environments ● A passion for building and maturing engineering capability and systems Why M2P Engineering?
