Suncorp Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Major Loss Claims Officer to join our team on a permanent basis . This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Melbourne. What you’ll do Manage Industrial Special Risk (ISR), complex commercial property and large loss claims from initial assessment through to final settlement. Manage and resolve high-hazard and complex claims Proactively manage expectations with insureds and brokers, clearly explaining policy responses and how claim outcomes are determined. Provide feedback to Underwriters and the Claims Manager on emerging issues, trends, or risk deficiencies. Deliver regular claim updates to brokers and customers in line with Service Standards and the Code of Practice, including declinatures and opportunities for feedback. Utilise internal systems effectively to manage claims and maintain accurate records. Determine appropriate policy coverage, including indemnity, liability, and quantum considerations. What you’ll bring Extensive experience managing commercial property claims, particularly major loss claims (essential). Proven experience handling high-quantum claims (essential). Strong technical knowledge of material damage and business interruption claims. A strong track record of delivering excellent customer service. Well-developed decision-making, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
