About The Position An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and creative Head Chef to take the lead of a well-regarded restaurant kitchen. This role will see you driving menu development, leading a small but capable kitchen team and maintaining strong food quality standards in a venue that celebrates local produce and wine. You will work closely with senior management on menu costings, seasonal changes and operational efficiency. Position Description Lead and manage day-to-day kitchen operations in a busy regional restaurant Develop and implement seasonal menus that highlight local produce Maintain strong food quality, presentation and consistency standards Manage kitchen staffing, training and team development Oversee food costings, ordering and stock control Work collaboratively with venue leadership on menu pricing and profitability Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards Contribute to special events, functions and seasonal dining experiences Position Requirements Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef ready to step up Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate a small team Experience managing food costs, ordering and kitchen financial performance Passion for seasonal cooking and working with quality local produce Strong organisational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen compliance requirements Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays and occasional events Salary & Benefits $90,000 - $100,000 salary package depending on experience Work within a respected hospitality venue in a premium regional destination Strong support from an experienced leadership team Opportunity to put your creative stamp on the menu and kitchen culture To apply online, please click on the apply button.
