Leadership Role Corporate/lnsurance Attractive package including bonus A leading life insurance and financial services organisation is seeking an experienced Head of Legal – Corporate to lead a high‑performing team and oversee all corporate and commercial legal work across the business. The Role Reporting to the Group General Counsel, you will lead a team of corporate and commercial lawyers and provide legal guidance across product development, commercial contracting, investment and funds management, superannuation, technology and procurement, and regulatory matters. You will also support M&A activities, capital issuance, and enterprise risk management. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a corporate legal team, driving quality, efficiency and legal risk management. Provide expert advice on product obligations, policy drafting, reinsurance treaties and commercial agreements. Deliver regulatory advice across Corporations Act, ASIC Act, Insurance Contracts Act, SIS Act, Life Insurance Act, Competition & Consumer law, Privacy and AML laws. Support technology, procurement and vendor negotiations, including MSAs and SOWs. Ensure compliance within the Group’s risk and governance frameworks. About You Senior lawyer with extensive life insurance and/or broader financial services experience. Strong leadership capability and experience managing legal teams. Highly developed commercial judgement, communication and stakeholder management skills. Current unrestricted Australian Practising Certificate.
