The People and Culture Support Officer is accountable to the Principle Lead, People and Culture for providing efficient human resource support service to Public Trustee (PT) employees and external stakeholders including AGD and Shared Services SA. The People and Culture Support Officer co-ordinates a range of HR related processes including processing of HR related documentation, records management, reporting, and providing support and assistance to PT staff and managers including the provision of general advice on routine matters. Key outcomes and accountabilities: Actively contribute to and support leadership to foster an outcome based, high-performance culture; where staff are challenged and stretched to develop their competence and provided with opportunities for professional development. Support the provision of professional human resource support, expert advice on general HR matters that enable and support leadership and managers to perform effective workforce management functions. Meet key deadlines in relation to workforce reporting, management and accountability processes including whole of Government and Departmental processes. Support the deliver timely and accurate workforce reports, analysis and briefings and contribute to policy development and implementation. Monitor the effectiveness of People and Culture processes and practices and recommend opportunities for improvements. Maintain internal and external stakeholder partnerships and actively contribute to the leadership of People and Culture to support the delivery of branch and organisational objectives. Support and enable a comprehensive, compliant, and effective recruitment and onboarding function and personnel contract management. Ensure a compliant HR records management function within People and Culture. Note: Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Organisation. Job Environment The People and Culture Support Officer operates within the legislative, policy, and procedural frameworks of the South Australian Public Sector, the Attorney-General’s Department (AGD), and the Public Trustee (PT). The role undertakes HR coordination and administrative duties that require sound judgement, attention to detail, and an understanding of confidentiality and compliance. The work environment is challenging given the nature of the services delivered to clients. The duties are moderately complex and involves interpreting policy and procedure, prioritising tasks, and liaising effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
