Join us as an Area Coordinator and play a vital role in leading teams, managing operations and driving the successful delivery of outcomes within the National Fire Ant Eradication Program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a highperforming team and make a meaningful impact by ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement. In this role, you will provide high-level advice on the operational implications of policy and legislative changes, offering insights and recommendations to improve processes and outcomes. You will support the manager in delivering assigned operational targets and contribute to the periodic review of procedures to ensure they remain effective and aligned with organisational goals. As a key leader, you will supervise staff by setting work priorities, allocating resources and ensuring the delivery of required outputs within realistic timeframes. You will train team members in standard operating procedures and policies, ensuring compliance and keeping procedures up to date. Your ability to allocate work assignments, track progress, troubleshoot issues and write progress reports will be critical to maintaining operational efficiency. You will also play a strategic role in managing operational costs, ensuring resources are used sustainably and effectively. By providing recommendations to management, you will help improve business outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the Program. Your ability to liaise and coordinate within and across work units will ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with organisational objectives. Under limited direction, you will oversee a discrete organisational unit and provide administrative support to the operational program. This includes preparing high quality documentation and reports to brief management, ensuring the information provided supports complex decision-making and correspondence. Your strong communication and negotiation skills will enable you to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders, representing the operational area with professionalism and confidence. In addition to your leadership and operational management responsibilities, you will investigate, analyse, and evaluate information to guide staff or clients, and undertake research on technical matters as required. Your contributions to the operational management team will help facilitate the achievement of Program goals and targets.
