About the Role Boarding at PLC is an incredibly special experience where our girls learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment they can call home. Girls from across Australia and the world build the culturally diverse PLC boarding community where girls learn about themselves and each other, creating life-long friendships. PLC seeks to appoint caring, dedicated and experienced individuals to join our Boarding House as an Assistant. Duties are varied and include assisting with the organisation and operation of PLC’s boarding house; supervising boarders when attending activities and outings; and providing pastoral care and guidance. Key Responsibilities Support the daily life of the Boarding House and contribute to a welcoming, homely environment for students Provide supervision and pastoral care to boarders, supporting their wellbeing and development Supervise evening prep to maintain a quiet and productive study environment Assist with boarding house activities, routines and student engagement Maintain appropriate communication with boarding staff regarding student wellbeing or concerns Support administrative tasks and visitor procedures within the boarding house The role is part-time (approximately 21 hours per week) and with shifts varying between afternoons, evenings, overnight/mornings across Friday-Monday. Candidates must have the ability to provide exceptional pastoral care, excellent organisational and communication skills, and show genuine interest and compassion to our Boarders. PLC will provide accommodation when the role requires a sleepover, and meals when the staff member’s roster coincides with a meal.
