Your new job As a Buildings Asset Officer, you’ll play a key part in keeping Council’s facilities safe, functional, and welcoming for the community. Your day-to-day will include inspecting buildings, planning and scheduling maintenance, and working with contractors to get jobs done. You’ll help manage bookings for community spaces, keep records up to date, and support the team with reports and procedures. Every day is a mix of being out on site, problem-solving, and working with a great team to make sure everything runs smoothly. Making a real and tangible contribution to the growth of the region 35 hour week, with an RDO every 4 weeks Work/Life Balance Long Service leave after five (5) years Based in the award-winning town of Mudgee, NSW You Business (Office Administration) Certificate III or equivalent experience in facility management or asset administration roles; Two years’ experience in a similar position either within Local Government or a similar organisation including experience in the field of customer service; Demonstrated experience in gathering asset information and carrying out building inspections and proven familiarity in Asset Management Systems; Demonstrated experience in liaising with contractors and service providers to organise building maintenance and regular service schedules Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multifunctional team and to remain highly motivated and flexible within the role; Extensive experience and proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications; Demonstrate comprehensive written and verbal communication skills; High level interpersonal skills and an ability to work with a wide range of people; Demonstrate well developed time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities within agreed timeframes; Class C Drivers Licence The salary range being offered for this full-time position is $2,605 - $2,932 gross per fortnight plus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $67,732 - $76,239 gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
