Cultural and Pathways Governance Co-Ordinator Location: Canberra City (Hybrid) Classification: APS Equivalent Contract: 6 Months Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Identified Position This is an identified role. Applicants must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to be considered. We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Governance Co-Ordinator to support the Cultural and Pathways function within a dynamic ACT Government environment. This role sits within a People, Engagement and Operations division and provides high-level governance, coordination and executive support to senior officers. It is suited to an experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced setting, demonstrates sound judgement and discretion, and can confidently manage competing priorities with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Deliver strategic executive support including coordination of briefings, updates and governance documentation Draft and quality assure Assembly and Ministerial briefs, submissions, correspondence and executive papers Coordinate workflows and ensure timely responses to internal and external requests Provide secretariat support including preparation of agendas, minutes and action tracking Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, including partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders Support financial and procurement processes including accounts payable, reconciliation and system coordination Drive governance improvements, process consistency and business enhancement initiatives Maintain accurate record keeping and documentation management About You You will bring: Proven experience drafting high-quality executive, Assembly and Ministerial briefs Strong attention to detail and ability to work in confidential environments Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to manage a program of work under pressure and within tight timeframes Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capability Understanding of governance, privacy and conflict of interest obligations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience in executive support, office management or governance coordination within government is highly regarded.
