Harmony Social Services is seeking dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Support Workers who are available for 20 - 35 hours per week (including some evenings and weekends). We provide person-centred support to participants in the Aged Care sector, those with physical disabilities, and also those living with complex mental health challenges, empowering them to live independently and with dignity. Various Duties of this Role With our mental health participants, you will be required to: Provide direct support to participants with psychosocial disabilities Assist with daily living skills, community engagement, and emotional regulation Implement behaviour support strategies in line with individualised plans Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families Promote independence, choice, and quality of life We are also looking for those who are also experienced in working with clients who have more challenging and complex mental health conditions , which require support conducted in line with their behaviour support plans. To assist our clients living with physical disabilities, you may be required to help with: Providing personal care such as hoisting, showering, toileting, personal hygiene support medication management and prompting some cleaning (would ideally be suited to an applicant who is experienced in this type of care or is an enrolled nurse) Supporting our Aged Care participants would include: Assistance with domestic duties Medication prompting Social and Community Access Personal care may be required for some aged care clients. What We’re Looking For: Understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred approaches Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays Excellent communication, patience, and de-escalation skills Current First Aid & CPR certification NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) Blue Card (or willingness to obtain) Valid Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle Desirable: Certificate III in Mental Health, Community Services, Aged Care or related field Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module Experience working with Aged Care clients, Mental Health participants, and/or those living with a physical disability.
