Job Description Egis is looking for technically excellent Senior Signalling Design Engineers to join our Railways and Systems team. This is an exciting time to join us as we are growing due to recent multiple significant project wins throughout Australia and New Zealand. As a Senior Signalling Engineer at Egis, your impact will be in the independent design review function including the verification process and the final sign-off of designs. You will utilise your specialist knowledge in rail signalling to deliver technical guidance to signalling teams to contribute to the successful management and delivery of projects for clients. In this role, you will: Design, check, and conclude independent verification of high-level signalling documentation inclusive of feasibility studies; technical requirements; SOWs; bonding/cable plans; control tables; power calculations etcDesign, check, and conclude independent verification of infrastructure assets inclusive of trackside signalling infrastructure; train detection systems; SCADA systems; vital/non-vital interlocking systems etcProvide technical advice to clients and project stakeholders and teams on interfacing operational systemsProduce tender documentationLead a team of designers for medium sized to major projectsTest, commission and maintain signalling systems and associated supporting systemsMentor and guide junior signalling engineers and project engineers Qualifications Ideally, you will have demonstrated 7 years’ experience in railway signalling with specialist knowledge of conventional signal design and relevant QR / MTM / ARTC competencies. In addition, you will also have: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar)Accreditation from Engineers AustraliaMembership with IRSE highly desiredRPEQ / RPEV registration highly desiredQR / MTM / ARTC competenciesSignificant experience in railway signalling with demonstrated expertise in a signal engineering testing positionDemonstrated knowledge of Australian railway standards and guidelines and ability to adhere to industry best practicesAbility to people lead and/or lead a project team to successfully deliver to meet or exceed client expectationsStrong planning, organisation and problem solving abilitiesExcellent client relationship management skill as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills Additional Information We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
