As Senior Inspector (Roadworks), you will provide expert technical advice and management to transport infrastructure construction and maintenance projects and other functional areas in the district, ensuring a high standard of quality, economy and safety are achieved. You will also act as a functional team leader for the district's roadwork inspectors, managing deployment of inspector resources and improving organisational inspector capability. Some of your responsibilities will include: • Oversee contract delivery, ensuring quality, safety, environmental standards, traffic management and contractor performance. • Develop and implement training plans, mentoring inspectors to enhance their skills. • Manage the allocation of roadworks inspector resources across TMR projects. • Review and improve departmental specifications, procedures, and management systems. • Ensure consistent application of TMR standards and maintain accurate project records. • Supervise contractor audits and specialised inspections for compliance with standards. • Provide expert advice and support to achieve successful project outcomes. Mandatory qualifications and conditions • A current Class ‘C' Drivers Licence. • Pre-employment checks, including a criminal history screening and declaration of serious discipline history will be required to be completed. • Must be eligible to work in Australia. Desirable qualifications and conditions • Certificate III Civil Construction, or recognised equivalence • Certificate III Civil Construction Maintenance, or recognised equivalence • Certificate IV Civil Construction Supervision, or recognised equivalence.
