As a part of the Mission Australia Group, they currently manage 4,500 properties, providing social and affordable rental housing to low and moderate-income households and a safe place to call home for more than 8,000 tenants across Australia. Mission Australia Housing have recently established their new Western Australia operation based in Perth and have created this exciting new Community Development Manager position as part of their service delivery team. Reporting to the State Manager, Housing Operations you will lead the development and implementation of a region-based community development plan for the Mission Australia Housing portfolio and build the capacity of the community through Mission Australia’s unique model of community development, Strengthening Communities within a community housing context. The successful candidate will have extensive experience working with vulnerable client groups in either community development, community housing or community services in a similar role, working with and for communities in a self-reflective and creative way that facilitates community self- determination. In addition, you will have proficiency in community consultation, conflict resolution, facilitation, partnership development and project management, along with impressive stakeholder engagement and development skills and communication skills. Candidates with a Community Development or Social Housing qualification will be held in high regard.
