About the role We are currently seeking a qualified Therapy Assistant to join our team at Bethanie Subiaco Aged Care Home, located in Jolimont. You will facilitate therapy and lifestyle programs for our residents. The role will be offered on a fixed term contract, part-time basis. Shifts are Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday working 9am – 4pm, with relief shifts available on other days. Your fixed term contract will be 6 months' duration. The role will include: Implementing therapy and lifestyle programs for individual residents and groups Adapting activities to resident’s level of function under the guidance of a Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist Addressing a variety physical and psychological needs and providing opportunities for meaningful engagement for residents Maintaining accurate documentation, both paper and computer based About You You have a passion for working with people of all abilities and backgrounds. You are enthusiastic and creative and can support and cultivate our residents’ strengths and interests. You also bring: Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent) Previous experience in a Therapy Assistant role ideally in aged care Ability to communicate clearly in both a verbal and written capacity with care recipients, families and team members Willingness to obtain vaccinations (minimum of 1 COVID-19 and annual flu) and current police clearance Working with Bethanie At Bethanie, we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive and compassionate environment for our people and customers.
