About the Role The Functions and Events team at Sheldon College delivers a wide range of internal and community events across the College. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Events Coordinator to support the planning, coordination and delivery of these events. Reporting to the Events Manager, the role involves coordinating event logistics including catering, ticketing, venue set-up and pack-down, while liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure events run smoothly. The position also includes event administration such as processing event requests, preparing event documentation and supporting financial processes related to bookings and invoicing. This is a part-time role (base 25 hours per week) , typically rostered: Tuesday: 5.5 hours Wednesday: 6 hours Thursday: 5.5 hours Friday: 8 hours Additional hours and occasional weekend work will be required from time to time. About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in event coordination or similar. Current RSA and RMLV certifications. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Solutions-focused, proactive, and self-motivated approach. Flexible availability to support varied event schedules, including occasional weekends. Strong time management and organisational skills. Ability to interpret and implement financial processes and procedures. Possess or be able to obtain a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Current Queensland Driver Licence.
