About the Role: Due to company expansion, an exciting full time opportunity has been created for an experienced and motivated ICT Officer (Application Specialist) to join our team, based at either Greensborough, Wodonga (Victoria), Brisbane CBD (Queensland) or Cowandilla (South Australia). In this role, you will provide expert support across a range of business applications, ensuring smooth operation, successful deployment, and timely troubleshooting for employees across multiple sites and business units. Working closely with internal teams, you will support key company applications, assist with new system rollouts, maintain documentation, and deliver high‑quality customer service. The role will provide support to employees and students across all sites and programs that encompass the Indie Education inclusive of Indie School, Indie College, Aware Programs and Corporate Services. To be successful in this role you will be organised and have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will work cooperatively with teams and individuals. Preferred Skills and Experience: Proven experience providing application support in a multi-site environment, ideally within education. Strong capability in application deployment, lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and system configuration. Advanced troubleshooting skills, including the ability to interpret logs, analyse error patterns, isolate variables, and identify root causes. High level of proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint administration, Teams management, OneDrive configuration, and Exchange. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and the ability to learn new applications quickly. Experience working with ticketing systems (such as Freshdesk or similar) and maintaining accurate support records. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small ICT team. Experience creating high-quality documentation, training materials, and process guides. Knowledge of permissions management, system integrations, and workflow automation considered an advantage. Strong customer-service orientation with a proactive and solution‑focused approach. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive application support across core company systems. Manage application deployment activities, including installation, configuration, version upgrades, testing, and post-deployment validation. Provide expert troubleshooting for application performance issues, integration problems, authentication failures, and environment-related faults. Monitor application health, alerts, and usage patterns, proactively identifying risks and recommending improvements. Support and administer Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Forms, Exchange, and related services. Coordinate with vendors and third-party solution providers to resolve escalated issues and support system changes or enhancements. Assist in the planning and rollout of new applications, ensuring compatibility, user readiness, testing, and documentation are all completed to a high standard. Maintain clean, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation , including procedures, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge base articles. Deliver training and demonstrations to staff to improve adoption and confidence in key business applications. Contribute to ICT projects by providing application expertise, conducting impact assessments, supporting change management, and assisting with user acceptance testing. Participate in continuous improvement activities, recommending enhancements to system processes, workflows, or configuration. Ensure data integrity, access control, and application security practices are adhered to across supported systems. You must hold, or be willing to obtain: Annual National Police Checks (issued in the 3-months prior to appointment). Working with Children’s Check (relevant to the state(s)). Driver licence.
