The Opportunity Catholic Education South Australia is seeking an experienced Communications Lead (Public Relations) to join our growing Communications and Marketing team. This is an exciting time to be part of a team that is expanding its reach and impact across the state. You’ll play a key role in shaping the public narrative of Catholic Education, working closely with senior leaders and school principals to deliver strategic public relations counsel and manage high-level communications with confidence and care. This is a full-time (1.0FTE), permanent position. Key Responsibilities Identify and execute opportunities for positive media coverage and public engagement Provide expert public relations advice on reputation management and sensitive communications. Respond and effectively manage media requests, including complex issues. Monitor media coverage and public sentiment to inform proactive strategies. Build and maintain strong relationships with media and strategic stakeholders. Exercise sound judgement, diplomacy, and confidentiality in all communications. Draft media releases and statements with strategic recommendations. Collaborate with the Director of Catholic Communications and Communications and Marketing Manager to ensure message alignment. About You You will bring: A tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent experience. Proven ability to build effective relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Strong media management experience. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives. Capacity to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
