Stiles Electrical requires an experienced Excavator Operator who holds a HR driver's license for work on various street lighting, landscaping, sports lighting and large civil construction projects. Various projects North and South of the river including Perth Motorplex, Menzies Park and multiple Streetlighting and Sports lighting complexes. We're looking for reliable operators who wants steady long-term work and to be part of a crew that value productivity over micro-management. What you'll be doing - Pit and pipe installations and associated civil electrical works Working as part of a well-organised, experienced civil crew Coordinating directly with supervisors to keep jobs moving efficiently Predominantly Perth Metro projects, with occasional regional work available While the role is primarily as an operator, you will also be required to assist with Electrical TA duties such as conduit, pit and cable installation in between periods of excavation work. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in all the following areas: Excavations on private land and within the road reserve (street lighting / sub-division) Reading and understanding Dial Before You Dig information Reading, understanding and adhering to dig permits when working on complex civil construction sites Operating machinery to a high standard of safety Experience operating to dig permits Knowledge of standard road reserve, service alignments and depths Auguring holes for pedestrian, street and sporting light poles Use of other attachments such as rock breakers etc. Installing electrical/comms conduit and pits Cable laying Maintain and safety checks on mobile plant, equipment and company vehicles Prepare and set up plant for operation (including selecting, fitting and removing attachments) Ensure that all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followed Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refueling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs Maintain clean working environment Perform general maintenance as required Rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant relevant to their qualifications and demonstrated experience.
