Job DescriptionSitting within our Finance Information & Governance team, the Associate Analyst is a multi-faceted role responsible for advancing, managing and safeguarding Griffith University’s financial integrity and security. The Associate Analyst will apply their expertise and judgment to ensure compliance with regulatory and finance reporting requirements, working within the University Fraud and Corruption Control framework. They will provide detailed advice on internal finance policies, systems, controls, and processes and will work collaboratively with others to solve complex operational and transactional finance issues. Specific responsibilities include:Process manual journal entries accurately and in a timely manner to support financial and management reporting.Coordinate and complete the University’s annual asset stocktake process.Maintain and update Finance team documentation and webpages to ensure information remains current and accessible.Support the use and maintenance of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes within the team.Contribute to financial reporting activities and assist in resolving operational and transactional finance issues. About youYou are guideline and timeline driven and love paying attention to the details. You are comfortable collaborating with other team members and the broader Griffith community. As this role is pivotal in impacting the experience of staff members’ when working with the Finance team, you will have an ability to provide consistently professional and positive customer experiences. You will possess:A finance related degree and preferably obtained or in the process of completing a recognised accountancy qualification; or equivalent substantial relevant experience.Proven experience and working knowledge of finance systems in large organisations.Analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to problem solve.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. What we can offerThis is a fixed-term (8-month), full-time position and can be primarily based at either Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) or Gold Coast campuses. As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations. Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. Salary RangeThe full time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 5 range $79,705 - $89,416 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $93,254 - $104,616 per annum.
