Delivering community consultation for all departments of the City, we play a pivotal role ensuring the views and insights of Gold Coast residents and visitors are considered in decision-making. A high performing team of 10 officers, it’s a fast-paced environment working with project teams on a variety of projects, from infrastructure upgrades, proposed new initiatives and strategic policies. About The Role The Engagement Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing engagement strategies that increase community involvement and build stakeholder relationships across a wide range of City projects and initiatives. Help ensure community voices are included in decision-making and enhance the City’s ability to deliver meaningful consultation with the public. Responsibilities Include Identify strategic engagement approaches and opportunities to best support project needsDevelop and deliver strategic community engagement plans and methods required to achieve representative, ethical, and inclusive outcomesAnalyse and report on community consultation findingsWork closely with other team members to improve internal processes and approaches and increase stakeholder satisfactionBuild relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of engagement activities and strategic outcomesApply IAP2 Principles, the City’s Community Engagement Framework, and technical knowledge to provide advice and guidance to key internal stakeholders and drive continuous improvement. We’re Looking For People Who Have Bachelors Degree in Communications, Media, Marketing or Behavioural Science, or equivalent knowledge and experienceCertificate of IAP2 of Engagement highly desirable.
