Cockburn Central, Perth | Full-time | Immediate Start Total Connections is a WA-based hydraulic hose and fittings company delivering mobile service, fire suppression servicing, hydraulic cylinder rebuilds, and vehicle loading cranes major and minor services. We’re seeking a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand to support the workshop team and assist the Operations Manager. About the Role This is a practical leadership role—leading by example, helping coordinate workflow, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met. Hands-on fitting work: hydraulic hose builds, repairs, and component change-outs Assist with workshop coordination, job prioritisation, and workflow planning (in support of the Operations Manager) Support hydraulic cylinder strip, inspection, rebuild and testing (where required) Assist with fire suppression servicing and workshop prep work Support VLC major inspections/overhaul work as required Guide and support technicians/apprentices with workmanship and safe practices Quality checks, final inspections, and job sign-off support Maintain workshop standards: tooling, housekeeping, basic stock control support Accurate job documentation and reporting Liaise with service techs and customers as needed to keep jobs moving What We're Looking For Required: Trade qualified Fitter (or equivalent mechanical trade) Strong hands-on workshop experience (leading hand or senior fitter level) Excellent mechanical problem-solving and attention to detail Safety-first mindset and ability to set a strong example Reliable, organised, and a clear communicator Desirable: Hydraulic background (hose & fittings, fluid power) Cylinder rebuild experience Fire suppression exposure VLC inspection/overhaul exposure Forklift licence What’s On Offer Competitive rate based on experience Stable, long-term role in a growing WA business Opportunity to step into leadership and develop further Supportive team and strong safety culture Ongoing training and upskilling Location Cockburn Central, Perth — servicing metro and occasional regional sites. ✅ Ready to Apply?
