The team As part of the Communications, Engagement and Advancement Business Unit, the Marketing and Communications team provides strategic services to realise CGGS’ vision and core business goals. The team delivers high-impact brand, marketing, communication, event and engagement campaigns and activities, dedicated to building the brand, driving enrolments, improving experience and advancing engagement. The position As the Senior Officer: Communications and Content, you are a key part of a multi-disciplinary team that is dedicated to design, develop and deliver end-to-end communications and marketing solutions. This position offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of planning and creating engaging content across multi-channels and complete journeys. Your keen eye for detail will ensure all content aligns to the brand’s identity, being core to the success of numerous concurrent communications activities and marketing campaigns that ensure CGGS remains a leader in the education arena. You will come from a diverse and versatile communications, marketing or public relations background, and understand the importance of collaborative planning to ensure timely and accurate content execution. You will have an appreciation of, and enthusiasm for, the impact of innovative, distinctive communications and marketing content. Reporting to the Director: Marketing and Communications, your experience of content requirements for various channels is well rounded. Your day is all about anticipating the School’s communications needs to ensure your messaging resonates with CGGS current and potential families, is responsive to stakeholder requirements, drives exceptional engagement results and provides tangible value to CGGS. With a creative mind-set, you are agile, approachable and recognised as a trusted advisor and a key team player. What we need A capable and confident planner, who is process driven and can coordinate concurrent content activities across various channels. Sound experience in anticipating and implementing effective multi-channel communications and promotional strategies. Experience in supporting all facets crucial to a successful communications and marketing plan—such as brand, copy, visual design, multimedia and media buying. You understand how it all comes together and can make it happen. Strong and accurate writing and editing skills, with an ability to write to an existing brand language, personality, tone of voice and narrative and further develop the guide. Digitally-driven and tech-savvy, yet understanding and respectful of all marketing channels and their various assets/formats. Proven passion for smart, sharp communication that compels action. Disciplined, organised and detail orientated—you agree that near enough is not good enough, are always looking for improvements and thrive on consistency. Key responsibilities This is a fast-paced and deadline driven role. The focus of your day-to-day activities is to plan, coordinate, gather, write, review, collate and publish compelling multi-media content for the CGGS channels of: Social media platforms. Website. Intranet and internal communications channels (including but not limited to Schoolbox). Publications, such as handbooks, magazine and yearbook. eDM e.g. comms to current and prospective families, Community Newsletter. CRM platform, Funnel and associated automations. Launches and event activation. Also Work closely with the Director: Marketing and Communications to contribute to and implement the overall business unit strategy. Coordinate and maintain a content schedule that aligns with content strategic goals. Oversee and implement the internal communications strategy and social media strategy. Generate, develop and maintain a high-value content suite that is engaging, accurate and amplifies strategic priorities in a competitive market. Adapt and refine content to span a wide range of ATL/BTL channels. Understand the importance of brand identity, ensure compliance with the CGGS style guide, brand management requirements and accessibility/usability guidelines. Contribute to the development of project briefs. Understand and leverage performance data to design targeted and customised communications activities for various audience segments. Continually develop and optimise content across all digital platforms/channels, underpinned by SEO principles. Optimise the customer journey by identifying opportunities at key phases of the experience. Proactively build and maintain working relationships across the diverse School environment to understand stakeholder engagement, communications and marketing goals. Liaise with SMEs to gather information and advise on best practice to support them to realise their objectives by delivering effective and appealing content. Collaborate with external stakeholders such as agencies, media, producers, photographers etc. Continually track, optimise and measure communications and marketing campaigns, activity and results to deliver accurate, timely and relevant reporting and analysis. Leverage insights to refine and optimise performance and inform business decisions. Adhere to budgets and BAU expenditure and internal financial procedures. Ensure activities are delivered on time and on budget and meet the quality standards of the Communications, Engagement and Advancement Business Unit. Skills and experience Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a similar communications, marketing and brand content role is highly regarded. Demonstrated experience in all facets of communications and marketing mediums. Excellent copywriting skills spanning a variety of communications, marketing and editorial channels for a range of audiences. Comprehensive understanding of both traditional and digital marketing channels. Experience in collaborating with business teams and a range of key service providers, such as creative agencies, media suppliers, designers, producers and printers. Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as CRMs, web content management systems and social media platforms. Proficient digital skills and experience including website CMS systems and Microsoft Office. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and in a team, show initiative and coordinate workload amid competing priorities and deadlines. Capable to deliver during times of ambiguity and change. Excellent presentation and confident communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. An ability to show initiative, plan effectively and deliver results.
