About the opportunity There is currently 1 x 12-month Fixed Term position with the possibility of extension and or permanency for immediate filling. We’re looking for a dynamic and capable Project Officer to lead delivery of the Western Australian component of the National Bee Biosecurity Program. In this role, you’ll work at the frontline of industry protection, engaging and supporting WA beekeepers to strengthen apiary biosecurity, champion best practice, and play an active part in surveillance and response activities that safeguard our state. This is a hands-on, position that calls for confidence in the apiary, sharp field diagnostic skills, and a solid understanding of best-practice hive management. You’ll be identifying and advising on bee pests and diseases, building trusted relationships across the industry, and connecting beekeepers with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need to protect their businesses.
