About the Role: The company is seeking an experienced Area Manager to lead project delivery and field operations in vegetation management across South-East Queensland. This role is based on the Gold Coast and will involve business development, project management, team coordination, scheduling, and client engagement. Further, the unit is in a period of significant growth, and as such this role will require a proactive and driven go-getter to take advantage of opportunities by building strong relationships with existing clients, and developing new business through a range of engagement activities. Key Responsibilities: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to strengthen the unit's capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Collaborate with other business units to ensure efficient resource planning and cross-unit collaboration opportunities. Manage the financial performance of the unit including budgeting. Supervise, manage, and mentor staff across a variety of vegetation management projects while fostering a positive team culture. Ensure all internal standards are adhered to and promote best practices within the team. Coordinate projects to meet timelines, budgets, and client expectations. Oversee training programs to ensure technical excellence and compliance with client requirements. Manage rosters, conduct operational and financial meetings, and provide regular reports to senior management. Operate from South-East Queensland with a focus on supporting regional and remote projects as needed. Provide insights into relevant legislation and ensure compliance across projects. Prepare and review permit applications and client reports. Represent the company confidently in public forums, conferences, and community events. Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (environmental science, ecology, business, project management etc.). Proven experience in project management and team coordination. Demonstrated background in the environment, gas, mining, or construction sectors is considered favourable. Strong understanding of safety management systems and practices. Skills and Requirements: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with various IT tools and data management applications. Expertise in field-based survey techniques and data collection. Competency in research, data compilation, and scientific reporting. Comprehensive knowledge of legislation relevant to vegetation management and related projects. Strong leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
