Work that matters The Research Fellow will join a multi-institutional team of researchers involved in an ARC Linkage Project (LP240200944) that will deliver new digital forensic capabilities for police – particularly in the context of enhancing child sexual abuse investigations. This work will be delivered in partnership with South Australia Police, the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, and Deakin University. Experience To join our community and thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience: A PhD or master’s degree (or commensurate qualification/research experience) in Computer Science, Data Science, Forensic Science, Electrical Engineering, Criminology or related area. A record of producing research outputs, including publications, commensurate to opportunity. Demonstrated proficiency in Python, including data handling and backend development. Demonstrated experience developing applications interfacing with machine learning libraries like PyTorch or ONNX. Demonstrated experience working with large-scale data processing and deployment (local and cloud) including SQL database technologies.
