We’re looking for a Senior Officer – Sourcing Optimisation who enjoys collaboration, problem-solving and working across teams to improve how we source and manage materials and services that keep our operations moving. Reporting to the Superintendent – Sourcing Optimisation, this role plays a key part in bringing cohesion across our Contracts and Procurement function, working closely with Contracts, Procurement and Site teams to deliver practical, value-adding outcomes. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys navigating complexity and turning data into insight. You’ll help optimise sourcing arrangements across the supply chain, contributing to improved productivity and outcomes for the business. Strong communication, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset are just as important as technical capability. Key Responsibilities Ensure outline agreements are accurate and aligned with negotiated contract outcomesBuild strong, respectful relationships with stakeholders while demonstrating Fortescue’s valuesAct as a key interface between Procurement, Category teams, vendors, Inventory and Site teamsSupport team initiatives and respond to stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely wayWork collaboratively within the team, managing multiple priorities where required Qualifications And Experience Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with people at all levels of a large organisationExperience in a fast-paced procurement or supply chain environment (experience in mining or heavy industry is an advantage, but not essential)Exposure to supply chain processes and an interest in continuous improvementWorking knowledge of SAP and Power BI, or the ability to quickly build capability in these systemsA methodical, organised approach and a genuine team-first mindset About Us Be part of something big.
