About the position: We have an exciting position available for a Payroll Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the Pentarch Group’s end-to-end payroll. This role will be involved with delivering accurate and timely processing of weekly and fortnightly pay runs across multiple employing entities, awards and EA’s. This is a Permanent full time position reporting to our Payroll Manager and can be based at our Southbank Vic, or Mooloolaba, Qld office, with 3 days per week on-site. As a Payroll Officer you will help to ensure all payroll data complies with legislative, EA & award regulations including tax and superannuation compliance. The role involves processing timesheets and liaising with sites to ensure payroll information is accurate, as well as resolving discrepancies and queries in a professional and timely manner. Your primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Processing and reconciling end-to-end pay runs, managing timesheets and payroll deductions; Assisting with the preparation of State and Federal tax obligations and Superannuation contributions; Ensuring prompt maintenance and accuracy of staff records and changes to employment details; Running, reviewing and providing payroll reports and analysis; Working collaboratively to resolve issues Liaising with other shared services teams on General Ledger inquiries or Workers Compensation and requests from People and Culture and; Assisting with any required payroll audits, reviews, and compliance testing. To be considered for this fantastic opportunity, you must have the following: Substantial experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a complex environment is essential. A certificate IV in Payroll Administration, or other relevant qualification is highly regarded. Proficiency in payroll systems, software, legislation and practices with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies. Experience in processing a variety of timesheets / clock cards for shift workers is highly advantageous. Sound knowledge[CB1] of Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and other state and industry legislation is beneficial. The ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and precision in processing payroll data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
