The Company I’m currently partnering with a large national organisation within the health sector to recruit an experienced Payroll Manager. The organisation employs approximately 4,000 employees nationally and has a long-tenured finance team with strong leadership and low turnover. Payroll sits within the Finance function, reporting directly to senior finance leadership, and plays a critical role in supporting the organisation’s continued growth. Managing a payroll team of 6–7 staff across Australia and offshore Overseeing weekly payroll processing for approximately 4,000 employees across multiple entities using Affinity Ensuring payroll compliance including superannuation, payroll tax and legislative obligations Managing payroll journals, reconciliations and reporting into Finance Partnering closely with Finance and HR stakeholders Providing leadership, coaching and development to the payroll team Supporting payroll process improvements and operational efficiencies Assisting with the transition to a new payroll system (Dayforce) About You You will be an experienced payroll professional who enjoys leading teams and managing complex payroll environments. Experience managing payroll for large organisations (3,000 employees) Strong proven leadership capability Excellent knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance Experience with Dayforce is highly desirable Exposure to payroll system implementations or transformations
