About the Role The Coordinator Statutory Planning leads the delivery of high-quality land use and development outcomes in a progressive and customer first organisation. In this role, you will lead and develop team of statutory planners working across a diverse range of planning projects, ranging from unit developments, apartment developments, heritage proposals, industrial and commercial developments and applications abutting our creek environments. • Support Statutory Planning service delivery, ensuring a high standard of decision-making under delegation, via Council or through representation at VCAT. • Lead one of three Statutory Planning teams to deliver a high-quality service that enables timely decision making for planning permit and other related applications. • Build a coaching based culture that invests in the ongoing professional development of staff. • Lead the review and monitoring of planning policies and procedures. • Lead the continuous improvement of systems and processes to improve the customer experience of applicants, residents and other stakeholders.
