Leading systematic equities manager with strong institutional client base Newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Executive Key conduit between investment team and institutional & wholesale clients Platinum Pacific Partners is partnering with a highly regarded quantitative equities manager, to appoint a Portfolio Specialist to join its team. This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the firm’s engagement across institutional client, consultants and wholesale channels, while enhancing commercial outcomes through technical expertise and strategic client solutions. The Portfolio Specialist will serve as the conduit between the investment team and external stakeholders. The individual will lead consultant engagement and support coordination globally, partnering closely with institutional and wholesale sales teams to drive new business initiatives. Responsibilities include articulating the firm’s investment philosophy and approach in a clear and compelling manner, while leading RFP responses, technical presentations and client meetings. This role will also contribute to commercial strategy, supporting product positioning through market intelligence, and collaborate closely with investment, product and marketing teams to ensure consistent and high-quality messaging. Acting as subject matter expert, the Portfolio Specialist will translate complex investment concepts into practical insights tailored to tackle specific investor requirements and needs. We are open to candidates from investment specialist, client portfolio management, consultant relations or technical institutional sales backgrounds, with a strong understanding of quantitative equities and factor-based investing. You will ideally bring a minimum of 7 years’ experience within asset management, ideally with exposure to institutional and consultant coverage. Postgraduate qualifications and/or a CFA will be highly regarded. Profiles of interest will demonstrate gravitas in client settings, exceptional communication skills and the ability to operate effectively across multiple teams and geographies.
