Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, the Accounts Payable Officer will join a high-performing finance team and take ownership of supplier reconciliations to ensure accurate and on-time payments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting smooth end-to-end operations. You will manage day-to-day accounts payable transactions while collaborating with internal buying, warehouse and admin teams to ensure all payments are processed at the correct price, quantity and in line with company policies. As an Accounts Payable Officer, you'll: Reconcile supplier statements and ensure all payables are processed accurately, in accordance with payment terms and company policies Provide prompt, professional responses to vendor enquiries Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and proof of receipt Ensure all vendor settlement discounts, rebates and credits are accurately applied Liaise with PRM/Buying teams to confirm correct pricing and details Partner with warehouse teams to ensure stock is receipted correctly Work closely with the central administration team on credit claims Collaborate with the rebates team to ensure entitlements are captured Liaise directly with vendors to resolve enquiries and disputes Investigate supplier payment requests prior to release Maintain accurate vendor records and account statuses Provide support with additional ad hoc finance tasks as required You'll have - Minimum 12 months’ experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar Ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Collaborative team player who supports shared outcomes Intermediate Excel and Microsoft Office skills Understanding of day-to-day business operations and stakeholder needs Retail industry experience advantageous IT literate, with Navision ERP experience highly regarded Why Winning?
